Characters

As was mentioned before, these characters were created as a joke when we started giving each other odd nicknames, but as time passed, they developed their own personalities and looks that I'm pretty fond of. They do not, in any way at all, reflect how I view my friends, and are very, very loosely based on the original nickname holders.

Tai Poh (the artist)

Tai Poh (meaning old woman/grandma) is a mean spirited, grumpy old woman. Some people say she's not really as old as she looks because, sure, she's fairly slow moving and what not, but anger her enough and she'll knock you out till next week. Kinda like a Super Saiyan mode, no? Sometimes she's seen using a walking aid, but we don't think she actually needs it.

Ah Sham (means aunty/maid)

Ah Sham is a skilled martial artist who gladly practices her wushu on anyone who irks her or gets into her way when she's doing her daily chores. Ah Sham is not a mere maid, she is also the household manager. She claims Cempedak hired her, but we all know better. She is equipped with a broomstick and a chicken.

Cempedak (type of fruit, kinda like a jackfruit)

Quiet, studious, and mild mannered, Cempedak is very much like the original Cempedak. Is usually seen reading a book that is sometimes twice her size. She's on a crusade to save her fellow cempedaks from being made into a local delicacy and fried cempedak is banned in the household. Ah Sham is fairly loyal to her.

Hamburger

Hamburger is a real spaz, she can get very hyperactive, especially when confronted with a mega sale. People get confused when they meet her, is she a cat or a burger? We say she's a dog. A chihuahua maybe. Or a shih tzu. Or a poodle. When she's excited, she'll jump alot and her eyes will rattle around ala cookie monster. Or you can just shake her hard enough to emulate the cookie monster effect.

Mummy

A mummy who likes eating Mamee (a local snack). In fact, she's addicted to it. Her friends have tried weaning her off them, but to no avail. She hardly ever speaks, or maybe it's because she's usually too occupied with the snack.

Chicken

Chicken belongs to Ah Sham, and is usually seen perching precariously atop Ah Sham's head or her shoulder. Ah Sham has given strict orders to everyone to not touch (as in eat) Chicken, but sometimes, Hamburger and Tai Poh can be caught eyeing her hungrily.

Hey Tai Poh. Very gooooood!
I love it - haha - that walking stick is to hit people with rite. Instead of practising martial arts, might as well swing the stick and pretend she's lost her faculties!
